1. General betting principles

By placing a bet through Stake Casino, you confirm that you have read and understood the applicable rules and agree to follow them. You are responsible for checking the selection, market, odds, stake, potential return, event details and any conditions displayed before confirming a bet. A bet is not necessarily accepted merely because it has been entered or submitted. Acceptance occurs only when the bet is recorded by the betting system or otherwise confirmed on your account.

The information displayed on a betting page is provided to support your decision, but it should be checked carefully. Event times, participants, competitions, market descriptions and other details may change. If an obvious error, technical issue or incorrect price appears, the relevant bet may be reviewed in accordance with the applicable rules. This can include correcting, cancelling or voiding a bet where permitted.

You must use your own account and provide information that is accurate, current and complete. You must not allow another person to place bets using your account, and you must not use another person's account. Account holders are responsible for keeping login details secure and for reviewing account activity. If you notice activity that you do not recognise, stop using the account and follow the available account security or support process.

  • Bets must be placed through the authorised betting interface and in accordance with the displayed instructions.
  • You should check every bet before confirming it, including the selected outcome, stake and applicable price.
  • A bet may be rejected if it cannot be processed, does not meet the applicable requirements or is affected by a technical or pricing issue.
  • You must not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, market manipulation or any attempt to interfere with fair betting.
  • Applicable laws and any account, payment, identity or location checks continue to apply when you place a bet.

2. Placing, changing and cancelling bets

Before confirming a bet, review the bet slip carefully. Your bet slip may show the chosen market, selection, stake, odds, possible return and any relevant terms. Prices can change before a bet is accepted. Where a price changes, you may be asked to confirm the new price, depending on the type of bet and the features available. Once a bet has been accepted, it generally cannot be changed unless a specific feature or rule allows it.

A request to cancel or amend a bet is not effective until it has been confirmed by the platform. Closing a browser, leaving a page, losing an internet connection or failing to receive a personal notification does not automatically cancel a submitted bet. You should check your account history to confirm whether a bet was accepted, rejected, cancelled or otherwise recorded.

The available stake range, bet type, price and market options may vary. Minimum or maximum amounts, transaction restrictions, account controls and other limits may apply and can change. The applicable information is the information shown at the time of the transaction, together with the relevant rules. No particular level of acceptance, odds or return is guaranteed.

Multiple and combination bets

Where combination or multiple bets are available, the bet may depend on more than one selection. The outcome of the overall bet will depend on the rules for each selection and the rules for the combination. Some selections may not be permitted together, and the system may reject combinations that are incompatible or unavailable. If one selection is cancelled or declared void, the treatment of the remaining selections will depend on the applicable market rules.

Live betting

Live betting is offered while an event is in progress and can be affected by delays in information, changing prices and interruptions in the broadcast or data feed. A live price may remain available briefly after an important event has occurred. Bets accepted during this period may be reviewed under the applicable rules if there is a material delay, obvious error or failure in the information used to display the market.

3. Event results and bet settlement

Bets are settled using the official result or other result source specified for the relevant market. The result may be determined at the end of the event, after an official announcement, or at another point stated in the market rules. A later amendment, protest, appeal or disciplinary decision may not change a settled bet unless the relevant rules expressly provide for a review.

The market description is important because different markets can use different settlement conditions. For example, a market may refer to the result at the end of regular time, a specified period, a particular stage of a competition or another defined outcome. Extra time, penalties, abandoned play, postponed events, participant changes and official corrections may be treated differently depending on the market.

If an event is postponed, abandoned, interrupted or rescheduled, the bet will be handled according to the relevant sport, event or product rules. Some bets may remain valid if the event is completed within the period allowed by those rules. Other bets may be cancelled or declared void. When a selection is void, the treatment of a multiple or combination bet may differ from the treatment of a single bet.

If a market is settled incorrectly because of a clear mistake, an incorrect result or a technical problem, Stake Casino may review the settlement and make a reasonable correction. Account records may be adjusted where required. If a correction affects a balance, the updated account history should be treated as the current record. Players should not knowingly withdraw or use funds credited because of an obvious error.

  • Check the market rules before betting, particularly for time-based or result-based markets.
  • Do not assume that a displayed score or unofficial report is the final settlement result.
  • A change to an event result after settlement may not automatically change the outcome of a bet.
  • Where a bet is void, any return will be handled in line with the applicable rules for that bet type.
  • Settlement can be delayed while official information, an investigation or a technical issue is being resolved.

4. Errors, misuse and fair play

Betting systems depend on accurate prices, event information and technical processing. An obvious error may include a clearly incorrect price, duplicated market, incorrect participant, wrong event, incorrect handicap or another mistake that a reasonable player would recognise. Where an obvious error occurs, the affected bet may be cancelled, voided or settled using the correct information, subject to the applicable rules and law.

You must not exploit a known error, delay, vulnerability or malfunction. You must also not use automated tools, unauthorised software, bots, collusion, false information or any other method intended to obtain an unfair advantage. Suspected fraud, manipulation or prohibited activity may be reviewed, and action may be taken in accordance with the applicable terms and legal obligations.

Stake Casino may place a bet on hold while information is checked or an account review is completed. This does not mean that a particular outcome has been decided. Reviews may consider account activity, transaction information, identity details, location information, technical records and the circumstances of the bet. Players may be asked to provide information or documents where required for security, compliance or legal reasons.

Technical interruptions

Internet connections, devices, payment services, data providers and software can fail or become unavailable. If a page freezes or a connection is interrupted, do not assume that a bet was cancelled or accepted. Check the bet history and account notifications when access is restored. Stake Casino may investigate transactions affected by a technical problem and may correct records where appropriate.

Players should keep their device and account access secure. Use a private device where possible, protect passwords, enable available security controls and sign out when finished. You should not share authentication codes or allow another person to control your account. These precautions help protect both your account and the integrity of the betting service.
